The 2009 Australian and Outback Award for Business Training and Employment

A National Award Scheme hosted by Awards Australia the focus of The Rural and Outback Awards is to encourage, acknowledge and pay tribute to individuals, communities, businesses and groups who are making a significant contribution to rural and outback Australia. In 2009 Manuka Farm won the Business, Training & Employment category for its encouragement and development of staff and for its creation of employment opportunities through commerical enterprise and training programs.

 

The 2009 Northern Inland Innovation Awards

The Northern Inland Innovation Awards honour innovation and creativity in businesses throughout the region. They also recognise the contribution made by businesses to the economic prosperity and well being of the northern inland region. Manuka Chaff won the Agriculture & Horticulture Award in 2009 for the development of a Lucerne silage specifically designed for horses.

 

The Quirindi Chamber of Commerce 2009 Agribusiness Award

Every two years the Quirindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry awards excellence in business across a number of categories including retail, hospitality and agribusiness. Manuka Chaff won the Agribusiness Award in 2009 for excellence in agricultural practice and its contribution to regional development.

 

The Fred Pursehouse Trophy

The Fred Pursehouse Trophy was awarded to us in 2002-03 for the work we did with water use efficiency and the introduction of sub surface drip irrigation.

 

The Brownhill Trophy

First introduced in 1984 by the Brownhill Family, the Brownhill Trophy encourages efficient farm management and conservation farming and is now proudly supported by the NSW Farmers’ Association, Commonwealth Bank Agribusiness and Industry & Investment NSW. Manuka Farm was awarded the Brownhill Trophy in 2003 for excellence in agriculture.
